Shaker motor?
« on: April 27, 2016, 03:37:49 PM »
Has anyone connected a shaker motor to their game?  I imagine you need a connection to a pdb, 12v and ground, an entry in the machine yaml and control it with pulse/patter?

Can I use a stern shaker or is there specific wiring? Anyone do this?

A shaker motor is electrically just like an other DC motor.  Assuming 12v, Connect one motor lead to 12v and the other to an input an 12v bank on a PD-16.  Only caveat what 12v source you use.  If you use your digital source, it'll wreak havok on your 12v rail unless you add isolation inductors.  If you're using a separate 12v supply, you're golden.
